For the past 18 years, we at Sweetheart Chinese Restaurant have dedicated ourselves to delivering the best of Cantonese fine dining. Our specialty lies in the preparation of luxurious Chinese foods including abalone, sea cucumber, shark’s fin, fish maw and bird’s nest.

In the English language, our name, "Sweetheart", refers to a loved one. In Chinese however, the literal translation of sweetheart refers to a quality seen only in the finest of abalone. The center or the hearts of the best abalone are as sweet as sugar, hence the term sweetheart. We have derived our name as such.

We currently have two locations. The first location is in Olympian City 1. Our second and newest location has been in operation for two years. It is located on the iconic “Dried Seafood Street”, which has been in existence as far back as the 19^th century, in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

Sweetheart Chinese Restaurant strives to be a sensible and pragmatic choice for customers and to become a trustworthy and reputable brand name in Cantonese fine dining. Our mission has always been to popularize luxurious Chinese foods. At Sweetheart Chinese Restaurant, you can experience such luxury Chinese foods at very reasonable prices. For example, the current market price for a typical bowl of wonton noodles is approximately $50-$60 HKD, but a bowl of shark’s fin in chicken broth is only $88 HKD at Sweetheart Chinese Restaurant. A braised premium Japanese Yoshihama dried abalone (28 heads) is $380 HKD at Sweetheart Chinese Restaurant. To experience an abalone of similar quality and size at competing restaurants would cost approximately $800-$1,800 HKD.
